Today's post is in honor of my amazing husband Mike, who has had one adventure after another since starting his DPhil less than two years ago. Over the past 23 months, this man has overcome incredible obstacles lying in the path of his research, and he's done it all with a smile on his face. To put things in perspective, normally a Public Health DPhil takes at minimum about three years to complete, but because of several setbacks entirely outside Mike's control, he has essentially had to complete his thesis in 18 months! Absolutely astounding...
And today, he has reached another huge milestone: he handed in his 50,000 word thesis. Congratulations Mike!

YAY MIKE!!! That is so awesome! You guys should go out on the town to celebrate.
Oh, believe me, we did! We had veggie burgers at our favorite pub, the Gardener's Arms, and then saw the new Indiana Jones movie. Good times!
